Apple receives 81 nominations in the Emmy race

136 nominations for Disney versus 81 for Apple, but with far fewer partner brands and channels. Already a very good run for Apple's series and a historic record for the platform. So, which Apple films and series have the best chance of winning Emmy Awards this year?

No false suspense, it is Severance which is currently leading the race with 27 nominations, notably in the prestigious category of Best Drama Series, but also Best Actor (Adam Scott), Best Actress (Britt Lower), as well as multiple nominations for supporting roles and direction signed notably by Ben Stiller and Jessica Lee Gagné. Dan Erickson's screenplay is also praised.

The series which talks about cinema, The Studio, is a well-deserved hit££££

The excellent comedy The Studio stands out as the most nominated new comedy series in history with 23 distinctions (well-deserved), surpassing all previous records for a first season in this genre. In addition to the Best Comedy category, the series receives nominations for direction and screenplay, awarded to Seth Rogen and his collaborators. The acting performances were widely recognized, with nominations for both lead and supporting roles, as well as notable appearances from figures such as Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, Bryan Cranston, and Zoë Kravitz.

The series Slow Horses and Shrinking were also among the contenders for the most coveted awards. The second season of Shrinking earned its first nomination for Outstanding Comedy, with special recognition for Harrison Ford, a first-time Emmy nominee. Jason Segel, Michael Urie, and Jessica Williams rounded out the list of acting nominations. Slow Horses continued its success with five nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Gary Oldman.

And in a small surprise, the film The Gorge was nominated for the first time for Outstanding Television Movie, marking a significant milestone for Apple in this field.

In total, Apple garnered 81 nominations at the 2025 Emmy Awards, including:
