Microsoft was until recently preparing two portable Xbox consoles: a recently unveiled model available in two versions and in collaboration with Asus, which is scheduled for release at the end of the year, as well as a 100% in-house model which was not expected before 2027.

Except that this last model will probably not see the light of day, as already suggested by an indiscretion which suggested that the project was simply on hold. A pause may already be definitive according to a recent report from The Verge, Microsoft is now focusing on the new software platform which will equip its next-generation home console and which, itself, would arrive in 2027 at the earliest.
