Animals: Pink Floyd's cult album for the first time in Dolby Atmos

A cult album as well for its cover with a pig flying in front of the Battersea Power Station, as for its track list, Animals is Pink Floyd's 10th album (before The Wall and after I Wish you Were There). Nearly 50 years after its release (1977), it will be released in a superb box set including a new Dolby Atmos mix.

On May 17, the album Animals Remix 2018 - Dolby Atmos (by James Guthrie) will be released by Warner Music in a sublime Blu-Ray + CD box set which will include the original stereo track recorded and mixed by Brian Humphries at Britannia Row Studios from London in 1976, a 192 kHz/24-bit DTS-HD Master Audio stereo track, a 96 kHz/24-bit DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, and the all-new Dolby Atmos encoding.

For the occasion, the iconic cover of the album designed by Roger Waters was specially reinterpreted by Aubrey "Po" Powell, Storm Thorgerson's partner within the studio Hipgnosis (see Anton Corbijn's doc on the legendary album covers of the 70's), and Peter Curzon of StormStudios. The album will be presented in a Collector digipak including a 16-page booklet, a sticker and a postcard.

A unique opportunity to listen again and immerse yourself like never before in Pink Floyd's masterpiece, inspired as we know by George Orwell's novel Animal Farm. A novel also soon to be adapted for the cinema by Mathieu Kassovitz, but that has nothing to do with it…
