France 2 Ultra HD by satellite on Fransat, here we go

As promised, since yesterday Tuesday January 23, France 2 has become the first TNT channel broadcast in Ultra HD. And it is also available by satellite via Fransat.

France Télévisions announces the deployment since January 23 of the broadcast of France 2 in Ultra HD format, both on digital terrestrial television (DTT) and by satellite simultaneously via the free Fransat bouquet.

The satellite provides complete coverage of mainland France, very useful for viewers not covered or poorly covered by DTT. The 2 million French people who benefit from it can already discover France 2 UHD and will therefore be able to follow the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with unprecedented image quality. For reception, all you need is a dish and free UHD DTT satellite equipment: Fransat compatible television meeting the UHD HDR10 standard and Fransat TV module to be inserted into the CI+ port of its screen.

Fransat has its say££££

"France Télévisions is the first French audiovisual group to offer a national channel with the standard of tomorrow's television, with images of a clarity comparable to what we sees with the naked eye and immersive sound for a rendering in the heart of the action, says Fransat. Viewers will be able to enjoy this new television experience, particularly during the coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games by France 2 and France 3 (which will be broadcast in UHD on TNT also during the event).
