CES 24 > XGimi Horizon Max, DLP Ultra HD 4K Laser/LED video projector 3,100 lumens and Imax Enhanced

The manufacturer XGimi is taking advantage of CES in Las Vegas 2024 to present two new video projectors, the Horizon Max and Aladdin. Quick overview of the only Ultra HD 4K model, the first named (the second is a 1080p model).

Like the XGimi Horizon Ultra presented at the IFA show in Berlin last September (see our IFA 23 news > Xgimi Horizon Ultra, DLP Ultra HD 4K Laser/LED and Dolby Vision video projector, updated price and specifications) The XGimi Horizon Max is an Ultra HD 4K model and it integrates a dual LED and laser light source.

XGimi Horizon Max, Imax Enhanced certification

Little is still known about the true specifications of the XGimi Horizon Max, its availability is planned for the end of 2024, but it should of course benefit from many of the equipment of the Horizon Ultra. Starting with ISA 5.0 technology for fully automatic projection. Focusing, keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, adaptation to the color of the wall or projection screen... All associated with an ultra-fast 3D ToF sensor and a motorized optical unit. Likewise, the management of HDR Dolby Vision is required, the same for Dual Light technology composed of a double light source, triple laser and phosphorescent LED to correct the defects of laser rays. New, however, for a video projector, the Imax Enhanced certification is also included, the same for the DTS:X.

New, the XGimi Horizon Max can display a vertical image (Portrait mode) to adapt to videos available on social networks. Otherwise, it can project an image up to 180'' (457 cm) and its operating system would be Android TV or Google TV. The brightness of the XGimi Horizon Max is announced at 3,100 lumens for a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. Availability planned for the end of 2024. Indicative price still unknown but it should be below $3,000.

XGimi Aladdin, ceiling video projector

Concerning the XGimi Aladdin, this is the finalized version of the model already presented without fanfare on the brand's stand at the IFA show in Berlin 2022 (see photos above). Camouflaged in a ceiling lamp (hence the name of the product...) and equipped with a 360° sound section signed Harman Kardon, it is a model focused on ergonomics exclusively reserved for Asia.
