Amazon Prime Video, advertising in 2024

In the footsteps of other big platforms like Netflix and Disney+, advertising is coming to Prime Video, and no, it won’t be cheaper…

You were delighted to have an interesting streaming platform, as a bonus to your Amazon Prime subscription. But now, all good things (almost) come to an end since it will soon be “polluted” by unwanted advertising pages during your favorite programs.

“To continue investing in compelling content and gradually increase that investment over an extended period of time, starting in early 2024, Prime Video shows and movies will include limited ads, Amazon said. The latter even adds: We are aiming for significantly fewer advertisements than linear television and other streaming television providers.

Amazon Prime Video without advertising, it's possible but it's more expensive

The ad will therefore arrive next year, first in the USA, United Kingdom, Germany and Canada, before later in the year affecting other countries including France. And if you really don't want advertising, you just have to pay a little more for your subscription, $2.99 per month in the USA, a price which will be specified later with us.
