Jet Li at the height of his art in 4K, Hong Kong period

Released in 1993, The Legend of Fong Sai-yuk 2 is the direct sequel to the first film, also directed the same year by Corey Yuen, future co-director of The Transporter. Actor Jet Li, who played the title role, had not yet succumbed to Hollywood's siren song, then at the peak of his Hong Kong career. The film is being reissued in 4K UHD, an unmissable reminder of a bygone era.

Attention, La légende de Fong Sai-yuk 2 was often released under the title Once Upon a Time in China 6, even though it has nothing to do with Tsui Hark's saga, apart from, of course, the presence of the actor Jet Li.

The film is therefore the direct sequel to the first installment and follows Fong Sai-yuk, who has become a member of the Red Flower society. Factoris Films will release this sequel in 4K on November 25, thus continuing its policy of distributing major works of 1990s Hong Kong action cinema, especially those with Jet Li.

For the record, the film's choreography is by Corey Yuen and Yuen Tak, awarded the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Action Choreography.
