Gamer to the very ends of the furniture with the YXSTABY collection, the result of the collaboration between Xbox and Ikea, notably featuring a stool shaped like a joystick, or a cushion in the shape of the famous green “X”.
Nine items to combine a love of gaming and home decor
Unveiled at the Gamescom trade show, Ikea’s YXSTABY range arrives in October and includes nine items designed in collaboration with Xbox designers. “The YXSTABY collection was conceived to allow everyone to fully enjoy their passion for gaming, without ever compromising on their interior,” Ikea explains. “Whether you’re immersed in a game, comfortably settled on your sofa or simply enjoying a moment at home, the collection naturally integrates gaming into every room in the house, while prioritizing functionality and comfort”.
A joystick stool and X cushion: nods to fans
Among the items on offer, there is a TV unit mounted on casters, a lightweight armchair, and a stainless steel tray in the shape of a directional pad. In fact, the funniest products are recognizable at first glance, like this stool designed from the original schematics of the Xbox controller’s analog stick, or the green cushion in the shape of an X, the iconic logo of the video game giant.

A refined design at very affordable prices
“We paid particular attention to every detail: the choice of materials, the ideal proportions, right down to the color of the topstitching,” explains Carl Ledbetter, head of Xbox device design. “I am extremely proud of what we created together”.
Indicative prices range from €14.99 to €129 depending on the item.
