Nero, the black cat, the next Disney-Pixar film, will have cat

In a few days, Toy Story 5 will arrive in theaters, very likely to revive a rather lackluster Disney-Pixar franchise. Despite the critical and box office successes of Inside Out 2 and Jumpers, many feel that the animation studio is increasingly missing the mark and struggling to innovate. In early 2027, a new film centered on animals, Nero, the black cat (Gatto in the original version), will arrive, and here's a first, amusing teaser. A new Pixar film, indeed! Directed by Enrico Casarosa (Luca), the film, with its distinctive animation style, takes place in Venice (gatto, "cat" in Italian). It will follow a black cat (Mark Ruffalo) with a busy life who begins to wonder if he's truly lived the good life. Indebted to a local crime boss (Laurence Fishburne), he will have to forge an unlikely friendship to get out of his predicament. Nero, the Black Cat, will arrive in theaters in spring 2027.
