Your AI remix on Spotify

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Could this be Spotify's new motto, now that it's providing its users with AI-powered music creation tools?
Not necessarily as involved as other platforms in the fight against AI-generated music, the audio streaming platform Spotify has apparently even surrendered, providing its premium users with a new tool to create their own AI remixes. Partnership with Universal Music to regulate the use of works: This tool is part of a partnership between Spotify and Universal Music, limiting its use to tracks from the major label (millions of works nonetheless). Incidentally, the revenue generated by these "covers" is partly paid to the original artist. Shared revenue and creation based on artist consent: "What we are building is based on the consent, recognition, and compensation of the artists and songwriters who participate," said Spotify co-CEO Alex Norström. Universal Music CEO Lucian Grainge added that the deal aims to "support human artistic creation and create new revenue opportunities for artists and songwriters." More money through the dilution of art? End of the world or new world…?
