Stuck in a game? Let Xbox play for you.

Microsoft is preparing a new type of assistance for struggling gamers, allowing them to hand control of their video game to an online friend, or even to an AI.
A distant or recent memory… A little brother, son, or daughter asking you to help them beat a level they found too difficult in a game. Perhaps you've even been that child yourself, needing video game assistance. Twitch sessions orchestrated by PlayStation and Xbox AI… Well, all that is about to end! After PlayStation's AI that plays for you, competitor Microsoft is pursuing a similar project for Xbox. This is revealed in a recently published Microsoft patent, titled "State Management for Video Game Help Sessions," describing a technology that allows someone else to help you by playing a difficult section of the game for you. This "someone else" could be an online friend, a stranger (also online), or even an artificial intelligence. In other words, a principle identical to that offered by PlayStation. A subtle point here: after reviewing the help provided by the good Samaritan (human or otherwise), you can either continue the game after overcoming the difficult section, or replay it yourself, drawing inspiration from the help you received.
