In addition to the R_volution PlayerPro 8K TV player (see our news article R_volution PlayerPro 8K TV, new Android TV media player (UPDATE)), the ISE 2026 trade show, which will be held in Barcelona next week from February 3rd to 6th, will see another new product unveiled by the French company Archisoft: the R_volution DIY-X700 kit.
As its name suggests, this upgrade kit is designed for owners of a Sony UBP-X700 4K Ultra HD player, aiming to enhance the audio and video experience. The R_volution DIY-X700 kit is a self-assembly kit. It comes in a brushed aluminum chassis equipped with the linear power supply and toroidal transformer already used in the R_volution PlayerPro 8K TV, a pack of screws, and step-by-step assembly instructions to transform the ordinary Sony UBP-X700 into a high-performance player capable of remarkable audiovisual performance. It's incredible how a good power supply literally transcends the quality of audio and video signals. You can easily see this for yourself simply by changing the connection cable of your audio-video devices: picture and sound immediately gain in clarity.
For your information, the term DIY in the kit's reference means Do It Yourself (self-assembly). Also, the kit includes a remote control, larger and with better features than the original one for the Sony UBP-X700 player.
