Apple is preparing its AI brooch

While OpenAI is preparing its AI gadget to replace the smartphone, Apple is apparently also in the race for this type of device.
Following the rapid popularization of AI, manufacturers have tried to capitalize on this success by releasing devices dedicated to this now-essential technology. Humane's AI Pin, a pin-shaped AI assistant, failed, and OpenAI is also preparing its gadget, with the support of designer Jony Ive, formerly of Apple. And speaking of the devil, it seems Apple also has such a product in development. This is what the aptly named media outlet The Information reveals, describing the device as a thin, circular disc with a glass and aluminum casing, similar to the manufacturer's AirTag, even in terms of size. Apple wants to make pins spin. This pin has two cameras—standard and wide-angle—designed to analyze the user's surroundings. Also present are microphones to capture sound, suggesting voice control and features like instant translation. A speaker completes the picture, along with a mechanical button on one of the edges. While such a gadget might seem unnecessary on its own, one can easily imagine Apple integrating it into its ecosystem, particularly with a privileged connection to the iPhone.
