Neon and Universal Pictures International have just unveiled the trailer and poster for EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, the new documentary concert film directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Presented at the Toronto International Film Festival and warmly received, the project is described as "more than a documentary or a concert film." The feature film draws on previously unseen footage shot during the production of the 1970s documentaries Elvis: That's the Way It Is and Elvis on Tour, as well as footage from the so-called "gold jacket" performance, filmed in Hawaii in 1957. All of this material was discovered in the Warner Bros. archives, stored in salt mines in Kansas. A new, previously unreleased Elvis recording: For two years, Luhrmann's team restored this footage and synchronized it with existing audio sources, including a newly discovered 45-minute recording in which Presley reflects on his career. The editing is by Jonathan Redmond. The trailer notably features footage of Elvis's Las Vegas residency in the early 1970s. The film will have its Australian premiere at the AACTA Festival on Saturday, February 7, before its theatrical release in Australia on February 19, and then in the United States on February 20. In France, EPiC will have an exclusive IMAX release starting February 18, 2026, before a nationwide release on February 25, 2026.
