Robotics, Apple's next El Dorado?

By 2040, the revenue of Apple's robotics division—which doesn't yet exist—could surpass that of the already highly profitable App Store.
According to analysts at the investment bank Morgan Stanley, Apple's future robotics division could generate around $133 billion annually by 2040, surpassing the $96 billion of the profitable Services sector (App Store and others). Apple is working on its dream lamp. Potentially Apple's next big success, this division will present itself as embodied artificial intelligence, namely AI in mechanical form. The first products are expected in 2027, starting with a desktop device—a lamp?—designed to assist and respond to the user's needs. According to Morgan Stanley, Apple will capture approximately 9% of the global robotics market by 2040.
