Get your machine guns ready: Taylor Sheridan and Peter Berg are going to make a Call of Duty movie

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and filmmaker Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, The Kingdom) are teaming up to develop and produce the live-action Call of Duty adaptation for Paramount and Activision.
It's safe to say that even before the first image, and given the temperament of these two guys, the project already reeks of explosive energy. A live-action Call of Duty by Berg and Sheridan is like nitro and glycerin, and it's bound to be a wild ride. While the project was announced last month, the duo behind it was officially revealed yesterday. It's worth noting that this isn't their first collaboration: they previously worked together on Comancheria (Hell or High Water) and Wind River, as writers and producers. For Call of Duty, Sheridan and Berg will co-write the script. A Call of Duty movie and more! The film aims to "reach its vast global fan base by recapturing the hallmarks audiences love in this iconic series, while boldly expanding the franchise to entirely new audiences." The immediate goal remains to launch a major feature film, even though Paramount reportedly holds the rights to expand the franchise into a universe encompassing multiple films and series. A flagship video game series and one of the most successful franchises of all time, Call of Duty features first-person shooters centered on military campaigns, familiar territory for Peter Berg, who will not only direct but also produce alongside Taylor Sheridan and David Glasser. Furthermore, Peter Berg has just completed production on his World War II film, The Mosquito Bowl.
