While the film industry, but also the video game industry, is concerned about the impact of generative artificial intelligence on production, some see it in a very positive light, starting with Elon Musk, founder of xAI, the creator of the Grok chatbot.
Guess who's going to make movies and games in no time?££££
In a first tweet in response to a video game demo generated by Grok, Musk comments "xAI game studio will release a great AI-generated game before the end of next year," referring to the game development studio currently being set up within xAI.
Then he continues in another tweet, in response to a bit of an action scene from a movie also generated by the same AI, "Grok will make a movie that's at least watchable, before the end of next year, and some really good movies in 2027."
Should James Cameron (see our news James Cameron: never an AI screenwriter), Steven Spielberg and the others start to worry? And us too.
