According to Bloomberg's often well-informed Mark Gurman, the iPhone 17e will be relatively "less good" than its predecessor, the iPhone 16e.
iPhone 17e, a reported chronicle of an unattractive model?££££
Indeed, the entry-level model released this year has such interesting features given its price that it overshadows the basic iPhone 16. Apple apparently does not want to repeat this mistake with an iPhone 17e that will be designed to deserve its place in the range, well below the iPhone 17.
So, while the iPhone 17 got some interesting new features like the ProMotion display (variable refresh rate up to 120 Hz), the iPhone 17e will be limited to 60 Hz and equipped with the same camera as the iPhone 16e. However, it will take on the appearance of the iPhone 16 (iPhone 14 for the 16th), meaning the disappearance of the notch in favor of the Dynamic Island.
