Now call it Micro RGB. This clears up the confusion that arose from the Micro LED RGB name at the CES show in Las Vegas, when the Micro LED technology previously promoted by the Korean manufacturer was self-emissive and the Micro LED RGB unveiled was still based on a backlighting system, like all LCD TVs. A premium model, as usual at Samsung, called an extremely thin model. The Samsung 115MR95F TV has an extremely contained and remarkable thickness of 35.7 millimeters.
Samsung Micro RGB TV, Vision AI experience££££
The Samsung 115MR95F Micro RGB TV of course offers the Vision AI experience unveiled by the Asian group at CES in Las Vegas last January, including the new Click to Search and Live Translate features. Similarly, the Bixby voice assistant is making significant progress towards becoming truly conversational. AI agents are also used, such as Copilot (see our news on Microsoft Copilot AI integrated into Samsung 2025 TVs and monitors) and Perplexity…
Samsung Micro RGB TV, main video specifications££££
The Samsung Micro RGB TV backlighting system is therefore based on 15,000 zones and microscopically sized [abc]LEDs[/abc] (less than 100 µm, or 0.1 mm) arranged in [abc]RGB[/abc] triplet in each of them. The screen is controlled by the Micro RGB AI engine developed by Samsung engineers to optimize colors in real time based on the video content. The 144 Hz [abc]LCD[/abc] panel is equipped with the excellent latest generation Glare Free 2.0 anti-reflective coating, identical to that found on the Samsung S95F OLED TVs (click to discover the full test of the Samsung TQ55S95F model by the AVcesar editorial team).
It should also be noted that Micro RGB technology is based on internal processing of each RGB color on 27 bits (total therefore 83 bits) for perfect sharpness and an unprecedented richness of details, both in the dark areas (Near Black areas) and in very bright areas (close to overexposure). In addition, the possible number of different shades displayed is almost unlimited to reproduce the smallest color variations in an image.

Samsung Micro RGB TV, AI Upscaling Pro, AI Motion Enhancer Pro and Micro RGB Color Booster Pro££££
The Micro RGB model also includes Samsung's AI Upscaling Pro technology to convert content to UHD 4K if necessary. Also on the menu is the Samsung Micro RGB AI chip equipped with an NPU twice as powerful, a 15% faster processor and a GPU 2.1 times faster.
We also find the AI Motion Enhancer algorithms, based on Deep Learning modules for increased efficiency, and Micro RGB Color Booster Pro to reproduce rich colors thanks to scene-by-scene recognition and artificial intelligence (see illustration below). HDR processing is provided by the Micro RGB HDR+ process. Of course, this Micro RGB TV is [abc]HDR10+[/abc] Adaptive and HDR10+ Gaming certified. The Imax Enhanced label is also worth mentioning.
Samsung Micro RGB TV, main audio specifications££££
In terms of sound, we notice a 4.2.2 channel system with a total power of 70 W RMS and [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc]compatible. The audio section also benefits from the 360 Audio (for Galaxy Buds), Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, AVA Pro, Object Tracking Sound+ and Q-Symphony (with wireless Dolby Atmos) functions. And the TV can be directly controlled by voice.
Samsung Micro RGB TV, Tizen Smart TV interface££££
As expected, the Samsung Micro RGB TV features the Tizen OS operating system, which will benefit from updates for at least the next seven years (see our Samsung Smart TV news, 7 years of Tizen updates guaranteed). We thus find Art Mode, the Art Store, Bixby, the Daily Board, the Google Assistant, Samsung Daily+, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, SmartThings Hub (with Matter controller), Karaoke Mode and the MultiView functionality. Finally, the Search by Click and Live Translate functions are of course included.
Samsung Micro RGB TV, connectors and connectivity££££
As usual on Samsung broadcasters, there are four [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 ports (one with [abc]eARC[/abc]), two [abc]USB[/abc] Type-A ports, one [abc]Ethernet[/abc] port and an [abc]optical[/abc] audio output.
Good news for gaming fans: [abc]VRR[/abc], [abc]ALLM[/abc], AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, dynamic black equalizer, Mini Map zoom, Samsung Gaming Hub and Super Ultra Wide Game View mode are all included. And if you have Philips Hue lights, after purchasing the app of the same name, the TV can dynamically change the colors of these lights according to the content on the screen for a more immersive gaming environment, and thus recreate a Philips Ambilight system.
Connectivity on the Samsung Micro RGB TV includes [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 5, [abc]AirPlay[/abc] 2 and [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.3
Samsung Micro RGB TV, 100% Rec.2020 VDE and Pantone certification££££
Samsung states that its Micro RGB 115MR95F diffuser offers 100% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut, a measurement validated by the independent VDE body, which is closely linked to the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) based in Geneva. Similarly, the colors displayed by this diffuser are validated by Pantone (capacity of 2,030 Pantone colors and 110 skin tones). At the time of writing, it is the only diffuser that can boast external certification.
The floor is given to Taeyong Son, Executive VP and Head of Visual Display (VD) R&D at Samsung Electronics££££
Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President and Head of Visual Display (VD) R&D at Samsung Electronics, said: "Micro RGB delivers unprecedented precision in controlling micrometer-sized RGB LEDs, enhancing the color accuracy and contrast of consumer displays. With this launch, we are setting a new benchmark in the ultra-premium large format TV market and reinforcing our commitment to next-generation display innovation."
Finally, the Samsung MR115F is the first of its kind in the brand's catalog. Three other diagonals are expected to follow in 2026, 75", 85" and 98 inches. These should be unveiled next January, at the CES 2026 show in Las Vegas.
Immediate availability (on order to start). Indicative price: 30,000 euros.
Update: following our visit to Samsung, we obtained the figure of 15,000 zones for the 115MR95F. =The above news has been completed.
