IFA 25 > Valerion VisionMaster Max: triple RGB laser, 3,500 lumens and EBL Pro

The IFA trade show in Berlin is an opportunity for the manufacturer Valerion, owned by the American firm, to present to the world its latest home cinema video projector, the triple RGB laser VisionMaster Max model. Already in the hands of some around the world, some of its specifications were still unknown. Now we know everything about it!

The Valerion VisionMaster Max, like the brand's other models, features a square design with a front and side panels ribbed with galvanized metal. It can therefore easily sit on a coffee table in a living room or a dedicated room.

Valerion VisionMaster Max, main specifications££££

The Valerion VisionMaster Max is therefore structured from a 0.47" [abc]DMD[/abc] chip (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with XPR4 algorithm to display [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] definition. The triple laser [abc]RGB[/abc] light source (25,000 hours lifespan) displays a brightness of 3,500 lumens, a contrast of 5,000:1 via a mechanical iris (50,000:1 via the EBL Pro process, see below) and 110% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut (more or less what the human eye sees).

We also note the compatibility [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], HDR10+/HDR10 and HDR HLG, 3D support, [abc]ISF[/abc], Imax Enhanced and Filmmaker certifications, a Dynamic Tone Mapping process, 24/48 Hz signal management, a vertical [abc]Lens Shift[/abc] (±105%), automatic keystone correction, automatic optimum horizontal alignment, automatic adjustment of the screen size in the event of a parasitic obstacle on the image (to perfectly adapt the image to the screen size for example or to avoid a wall light), a motorized focus and a projection ratio of 0.9-1.5:1. The maximum image size therefore reaches 300" (762 cm). Namely, an optional lens should be required with a ratio of 1.5-2.1:1.

Valerion VisionMaster Max, connectivity, connectivity and sound section££££

In terms of connectivity, among other things, there are two [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 inputs, one HDMI 2.0 ([abc]eARC[/abc]), one [abc]optical[/abc] output, two [abc]USB[/abc]-A ports (one 3.0), one [abc]Ethernet[/abc] port and a 3.5 mm headphone output. The [abc]ALLM[/abc] function is also included. In terms of connectivity, [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 6E, [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.2, [abc]Miracast[/abc], [abc]AirPlay 2[/abc] and [abc]Chromecast (built-in)[/abc] are all included.

For audio, the Valerion VisionMaster Max delivers a total power of 2 x 12 W and ensures [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] and [abc]DTS:X[/abc] compatibility.

Valerion VisionMaster Max, Google TV££££

The announcement of the Valerion Vision Master Max is associated with the Google TV Smart TV function for easy access to all (!) [abc]streaming[/abc] platforms. Likewise, the Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri voice assistants are normally included. Everything is set to music by a MediaTek MT9618 processor, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This chip also allows AI Super Resolution and AI Dark Field Details processing for a readable and precise image, even on 300 inches. Google Assistant is of course included, as are the Homekit (Siri) and Works with Alexa functions.

Valerion VisionMaster Max, EBL Pro and Rainbow Effect Terminator££££

The Valerion Vision Master Max of course includes EBL Pro (Enhanced Black Level) processing. This adapts the laser power when the majority of the image is dark, so the bright areas do not suffer and the overall contrast is significantly improved. Combined here with a mechanical iris, the result is spectacular. The promise of the Valerion Vision Master Max is also to drastically reduce (99.9% according to the brand) the [abc]rainbow[/abc] effect inherent in [abc]DLP[/abc] technology and which bothers around 20% of the population.

Last detail, video game enthusiasts are not forgotten with an Input Lag of 15 ms in [abc]2 160p[/abc]/60, 8 ms in 1 080p/120 Hz), 4 ms in 1 080p/240 hertz.

Availability expected for September. Indicative price: 4,999 euros.
