Corroborating the indiscretions reported by Bloomberg's well-informed Mark Gurman last spring, a reliable source at macrumors claims that Apple will release a new [abc]Apple TV 4K streaming box this year, one of the features of which will be equipped with the first [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc]/[abc]Bluetooth[/abc] chip developed by Apple.

Compatible with Wi-Fi 7, the new processor would allow data transmission on the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands simultaneously for lower latency, a more reliable connection and increased speed (peak at more than 40 Gbps, four times faster than the previous Wi-Fi 6E). As a reminder, the current Apple TV 4K, released in 2022, is equipped with Wi-Fi 6. This is the only Apple TV officially released, so the current model will be replaced by the new one. It's worth noting that Taiwanese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously stated that the price of this new Apple TV 4K should drop to keep up with the tough competition.
