LG StanbyMe 2, screen on wheels and battery

Featuring a distinct design bias like its predecessor, namely a wheeled stand for easy movement anywhere, the LG StanbyMe 2 screen brings practical improvements.

Already winner of an iF Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award, the new LG StanbyMe 2 is a worthy successor to its predecessor, a mobile model with a rotating screen to freely switch from Landscape to Portrait mode and vice versa.

This time, the 27" (68 cm) QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) [abc]LCD[/abc] screen can be removed from its rolling charging stand, allowing for greater portability and placement possibilities. Thanks to various accessories, it can therefore be placed on a table or hung on the wall.

It also has a built-in battery offering four hours of continuous video playback (+30% compared to its predecessor), allowing outdoor use in particular. Charging is activated by placing the screen on its stand or via [abc]USB[/abc]-C. Technically, the LG StandbyMe 2 features an Alpha 8 processor for high-performance video processing and [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc] compatibility and [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] (with 9.1.2 virtual surround sound).

In terms of connectivity, the streamer integrates Apple [abc]AirPlay[/abc] and Google Cast for wireless content sharing, as well as LG ThinQ and Google Home for controlling the connected home.

Availability of the LG StandbyME 2 screen is available in France from the end of August. Approximate price still unknown.
