At the end of 2023, Samsung became the first TV manufacturer to integrate the recent [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] Auracast technology into its high-end models. Until then, it was the only one, but LG has recently joined it in making this feature available.
LG/Starkey Partnership££££
This is what hearing aid specialist Starkey has revealed, to whom LG recently confirmed the integration of this format on a selection of [abc]Oled[/abc] and [abc]LCD[/abc] QNED models. As a reminder, Auracast is an optional extension of [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.2 introduced in 2022. It allows a device to broadcast one or more audio streams (different languages for example) to an unlimited number of wireless devices, simultaneously (headphones, earphones, amplifier, soundbar, etc.), as long as they are also Auracast compatible. Very useful for watching TV with several people using headphones, without disturbing other people nearby.
