Youth goes awry in Bully by Larry Clark, now on Blu-Ray/DVD set

Florida. A group of teenagers try to kill time between excessive drug use and unbridled sex. Victim of the violence and perpetual humiliations of his best friend Bobby Kent (Nick Stahl), Marty Puccio (Brad Renfio), a young surfer, decides to kill him with the help of the other members of the group.

Trained photographer, Larry Clark places idle adolescence losing its bearings at the heart of his work since 1971 with the photographic documentary Tulsa. Kids, his first film made in 1995, continues on this path by recounting the wanderings of young New York skateboarders addicted to alcohol, sex and drugs.

Return to Larry Clark, his trashy and quasi-documentary style

Adapted from Jim Schutze's book, Bully: a True Story of High-School Revenge, Bully reconstructs a chilling news item that occurred during the summer of 93. The raw and quasi-documentary realism of the film definitively establishes the trashy style of the filmmaker from Oklahoma.

Available in Blu-Ray+DVD combo from Studiocanal (in the Make my Day! collection directed by JB Thoret), Bully is available in English and French DTS HD 2.0 with French subtitles , in aspect ratio 1.85. In supplements, the now famous preface by JB Thoret (9 minutes), Bully revised by Stéphane Du Mesnildot (40 minutes), Bully: Behind the Scenes (58 minutes). Indicative price: 19.99 euros.
