Specialist in systems ensuring better Wi-Fi deployment in the home, Netgear presents the RBE973S Mesh Orbi Wi-Fi 7 pack, including a router and two satellites.
Netgear Orbi 970, “backhaul” Wi-Fi 10 Gb/s
The Netgear Orbi 970 series is innovative in several ways. Firstly, it integrates a new high-performance antenna system as well as a new patented technology -Quad-Band from Orbi- which improves the advantages of Wi-Fi 7. In addition, MLO (Multi Link Operation) technology, functionality from Wi-Fi 7, is used to create an “enhanced dedicated Backhaul (link between various components within a network)” between the different Netgear Orbi 970 components. The latter combines a dedicated 5 GHz band with a 6 GHz band to double the connection speed between the base and the satellites, in order to obtain a unique Wi-Fi “backhaul” at very high speed, 10 Gb/s. Precision, the 6 GHz band is also used to manage the growing number of Wi-Fi 6E devices on the market. Thus, the Netgear Orbi 970 pack is not only at the cutting edge of technology today but will also be at home once the Wi-Fi 7 protocol becomes widespread.
Another key feature of the Netgear Orbi 970 series, the Smart Connect feature intelligently selects the fastest Wi-Fi band for each connected device, for reduced latency (100x lower) and maximum transfer speeds on all products (maximum bandwidth doubled). Note that the base has a 10 Gb/s internet port as well as a 10 Gb/s Ethernet port and four 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet ports.
Netgear Orbi 970, Triumvirate Wi-Fi
In total, the new Netgear Orbi 970 WiFi Mesh system (pack of three, bass plus two satellites, as we remind you) covers up to 900 m2, or 12% more than the Orbi 960 series and supports up to to 200 devices (!). Namely, each additional satellite increases the Wi-Fi coverage of the system by an area of 300 m2 and has one 10 Gb/s port and two 2.5 Gb/s ports.

The Netgear Orbi 970 Mesh WiFi therefore allows you to look to the future with peace of mind, particularly with the development of Ultra HD 8K definition in gaming. Precision, the Netgear Orbi 970 Mesh WiFi pack is still marketed with a year offered to the Netgear Armor Powered by Bitdefender cybersecurity service (see photo above). The latter serves as an automated shield for all connected devices. No need to install specific security software on each of these, with it sometimes being impossible to do so (camera, locks, etc.), the Netgear Orbi 970 takes care of everything. Finally in the Netgear solution, we still find the Smart Parental Controls functionality (free one-month subscription) to control the time spent by the youngest in the household on the internet and/or on screen.
