Zoom video conferencing on Sony Bravia TV

The Zoom video conferencing application is coming to Sony Bravia TVs compatible with Bravia Cam.

Calls with friends, family or conferences with colleges are now possible from the living room with the arrival of the Zoom for TV application, to be downloaded from the Google Play Store on Sony Bravia televisions, as long as these the latter are compatible with Bravia Cam. Bravia Cam notably makes it possible to detect the position of a user in the room and the distance which separates him from the TV in order to ideally adjust the image and sound settings. Also note that Sony Bravia televisions are the first to support the Zoom for TV application.

The word to Shusuke Tomonaga, Bravia TV Design Director at Sony Corporation

“This partnership with Zoom is exciting: by adding Zoom services to the Android TV platform, it brings video conferencing to our Bravia TVs,” said Shusuke Tomonaga, Design Director of Bravia TVs at the Sony Corporation Technology Center. This partnership will allow our customers to enjoy more realistic video communications on the big TV screen. They'll be better connected to the people who matter to them, whether it's telecommuting, distance learning, or just keeping in touch with friends and family.”
