Dog Soldiers, 4K on-demand edition, a Fnac exclusive

In 2002, Neil Marshall revived the werewolf film left aside by horror cinema since the mid-1980s (The Werewolf of London, Howls). A funny and scary film edited in 4K on demand by Fnac. We explain.

Small reminder bite for those who have not yet seen Dog Soldiers, a film in which a unit of English soldiers performs an exercise in the middle of a Scottish forest. The routine mission turns into a nightmare when they discover the shredded bodies of members of another battalion. Alone, in the middle of nature, the men soon feel spied on by a strange creature…

With a small budget perfect for boosting the imagination of its author, Dog Soldiers has long been blessed with haphazard technical quality in video. Its 4K Ultra HD release on December 7 is therefore good news, on the absolute condition of pre-ordering it exclusively from Fnac (here).

Editing on demand, what is it?

On the principle of what has been done for some time in the world of fashion and especially slowfashion (Asphalate, Les Vichyssoises… and many other crowdfunding sites), Fnac is launching video pre-orders only at the demand with its “Edit on Demand” collection.

Unreleased in 4K in France

Good news for Neil Marshall's film (memorable The Descent, Hellboy in 2019), to date unreleased in 4K in France. And for English speakers who really can't wait for December, a superb US edition of Dog Soldiers is available from another webstore (click to access it).

On the same theme, the recent Teddy, by the Boukherma brothers.
