Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma UHD 4K, new Laser Cinema model

With the PX2-Pro, Hisense renews the PX1-Pro released last fall. Of course, the latter benefits from the exclusive Trichroma label, so it is still based on a triple RGB laser light source.

First, keep in mind that the PX2-Pro, like the Hisense PX1-Pro and Hisense PL1, is part of the Laser Cinema family and not Laser TV. Indeed, it is marketed without a DVB-T2, DVB-C2/DVB-S tuner, so it cannot directly replace a television set.

Hisense PX2-Pro Cinema Laser, HDR Dolby Vision on the program

While the Hisense PX2-Pro manages HDR10 and HDR Dolby Vision technologies, like the PX1-Pro it provides dynamic metadata decoding of an HDR10+ signal to display images exactly like a broadcaster equipped with officially from the label.

Hisense PX2-Pro Cinema Laser, 7th art lens

With its Laser Cinema surname, the Hisense PX2-Pro announces the color: to charm home cinema enthusiasts with a large quality image to satisfy their passion for the 7th art (note also the presence of the Filmmaker Mode and motion compensation MEMC).

Hisense PX2-Pro Cinema Laser Main Specifications

The Hisense PX1-Pro TriChroma Laser Cinema incorporates most of the technical characteristics of the PX1-Pro, namely: Ultra HD 4K definition, HDR Dolby Vision compatibility, HDR10 and therefore HDR10+, 107% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut ( that is more or less what the human eye sees) and X-Fusion Laser Light Engine module, exclusive to the brand and based on a triple RGB laser.

New, the Hisense PX2Pro Laser TV also features the Vidaa U6 exclusive Smart TV function instead of Android TV on the PX1-Pro. It gives access to the main video streaming services once the Laser TV is connected to the Internet (Disney+, myCanal, Netflix, Prime Video, Salto, Rakuten TV, Youtube, etc.). We also note the presence of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, an internet browser, the UPnP (DLNA) multimedia gateway function, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility and screen sharing.

Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Cinema Laser, 90'' to 130'' image

Precisely, the Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Laser Cinema offers a large, even very large diagonal image, i.e. from 90'' (229 cm) to 130'' (330 cm), always for a few tens of centimeters back. And for an always detailed and precise image, the Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Laser Cinema embeds a motorized and digital focus.

Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Cinema Laser, peak light at 2400 lumens

For the rest, the Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Laser Cinema incorporates a TI DLP chip with a response time of 32 µs, which is 500 times faster than an LCD TV and displays a peak light output of 2,400 lumens. Please note, unlike the Hisense Laser TV references, there is no screen provided here. It's up to you to combine it with a classic canvas or a specific Fresnel-type canvas (see photo below), whose particularity is to absorb the ambient light to make room for the projected image.

Hisense PX2-Pro TriChroma Cinema Laser, connectors and audio

On the connection side, there are two HDMI 2.0, an HDMI 2.1 input with eARC and ALLM compatibility and an Ethernet port. Namely, these are not 4K/120 compatible but only 4K/60, too bad for owners of PS5 and/or Xbox Series X, they will not be able to fully exploit the capabilities of their new generation home console. We also notice a Composite input, an RCA stereo output, a 3.5 mm mini-Jack stereo output, an optical output, two USB ports (including one 3.0) plus an Ethernet port.
