Star Wars at the Paris Fan Festival on April 15 and 16

A life-size X-Wing, among other activities and exhibitors, will be the highlight of the Star Wars wave at the next Paris Fan Festival.

On April 15 and 16, the Paris Fan Festival will take place at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles, a celebration of pop culture that will honor licenses such as Stargate SG-1, Harry Potter, Loïs et Clark, The Boys, Batman or -of course- Star Wars.

Try your hand at the lightsaber at the Paris Fan Festival

Visitors will also be able to admire a life-size X-Wing, the centerpiece of an exhibition bringing together costumes and models from the saga. Also note the possibility of trying out the handling of the lightsaber with initiation workshops on the stand of the Sports Saber League (yes, the lightsaber is an official sport in France). And for those who remain insensitive to the Star Wars universe, they will be able to discover many animations related to DC Comics and Marvel Comics.

The word to Jonathan Dumont, director of the Paris Fan Festival

“The Paris Fan Festival aims to allow communities of fans to share all their creativity and the ways in which they celebrate their love of pop culture,” explains Jonathan Dumont, director of the Paris Fan Festival. The Star Wars license embodies this perfectly since it benefits from a gigantic community which shows its passion by almost all existing means: novels, comics, cosplay, collections, vehicle reproductions, Role Play, etc. He adds: Superheroes are one of the most recognizable figureheads in pop culture and since their creation, they have occupied an important part of our programming through animations, conferences and exhibitions. If the appearance of the MCU, DCEU and other cinematographic sagas have allowed them to reach new heights, we have chosen to highlight the artists behind these immense successes by inviting the authors and designers who make fans dream. of comic books for so many years".
