The Last of Us 4K Ultra HD pre-orders open

While the broadcast of episode 5 of The Last of Us has been brought forward in France to Saturday February 11 at 3 a.m. (thanks to the Super Bowl), we learn in the process that the series by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin will be offered at the 4K Ultra HD physical format later this year.

The series is the hit that we know on Prime Video, but it is still broadcast in 1080p without the precious 4K label (we still had 5.1 in the second episode instead of stereo). Suffice to say that the 4K edition, richly endowed we hope with Dolby Atmos and HDR Dolby Vision to pay tribute to the superb work on the sets and special effects, is awaited by fans of the game and the series.

The latter is already available in 4K for pre-order from web merchants, with no specific release date yet.

In the meantime, starting with Episode 6, The Last of Us will air at the usual rate of one episode each Monday as follows:

• Episode 6: Monday, February 20• Episode 7: The Monday, February 27 • Episode 8: Monday, March 6• Episode 9: Monday, March 13
