Bowers & Wilkins PI5 S2, True Wireless headphones with active noise reduction

The British manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins unveils the evolution of its pair of True Wireless PI5 headphones, the B&W PI5 S2.

Evolution of the B&W PI5s already presented in detail in our pages, the new B&W PI5 S2 from Bowers & Wilkins offers similar equipment (see the reminder of the main specifications below) with however a few changes.

B&W PI5 S2, Bluetooth range and increased battery life

The B&W PI5 S2, for example, offer an increased Bluetooth 5.0 range of up to 25 meters. Likewise, autonomy increases with five hours of listening without recharging, and a quick charge of 15 minutes is enough to benefit from two additional hours of listening. The earphones are intimately linked to Bowers & Wilkins' Music app, which allows setup, configuration of noise cancellation modes and adjustment of the wearing sensor. It also supports hi-res streaming directly from mobile device to headphones via music platforms like Qobuz, Tidal and Deezer.

B&W PI5 S2, 4 mics for calls and noise reduction

The headphones have four microphones - two in each earphone - for high-quality sound quality during phone calls. The noise reduction system is based on these microphones, which are adjusted via the aforementioned application. Finally, the B&W PI5 S2 provides audio CD quality via the Qualcomm APT-X wireless link from streaming services and compatible devices.
