Ferrari it's over (the shooting!)

It's official, Michael Mann has just finished filming his latest film, Ferrari, in Italy.

The feature film, which will have had a gestation of several years, tells the story of the famous car manufacturer who, in 1957, is faced with bankruptcy and a marriage in ruins with his wife (Penélope Cruz). He and his team will gamble it all on a roll of the dice as they launch a 1,000 mile race across Italy.

Micmac in Maranello

Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) plays Enzo's mistress Lina Lardi, Patrick Dempsey plays racing driver Piero Taruffi, Jack O'Connell plays Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon plays Linda Christian and Gabriel Leone plays Fon de Portago. This will be the first production by the director of Heat and Collateral since Blackhat in 2015 (and not counting the recent Tokyo Vice series for which he directed the pilot). Shooting will last three and a half months and the film should be released in theaters in the fall of 2023.
