Samsung still the boss of the smartphone market in the first quarter

At the start of 2022, the smartphone market was still dominated by Korea's Samsung, followed closely by Apple.

According to estimates by International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung held 23.4% of the global market share for a distribution of 73.6 million smartphones in the first quarter of 2022. That is a small decline of 1.2% compared to compared to 74.5 million for the same period in 2021.

Still leader, the Korean is followed by Apple with 18% of the market and a distribution of 56.6 million iPhones, this time a growth of 2.2% compared to the first quarter of last year .
