Long Length Powered HDMI 2.1a Cable with HDMI Cable Power

So-called active HDMI cables are in danger of becoming an endangered species thanks to new Cable Power technology.

The bandwidth availability of passive HDMI 2.1 cables is limited to a few meters, unless active cables are used, however, which require an additional connector to be powered. A clutter that should soon be a thing of the past thanks to HDMI Cable Power.

Cable Power HDMI cables compatible with non-certified equipment

the Cable Power functionality but also suitable HDMI sources. At the moment we do not know of any such device, but no doubt they should arrive soon. Namely, on cables specified Cable Power, these can be used only in one direction: one end of the cable is dedicated to the source and the other to the connected device. Do not panic, in case of reverse connection, no damage is to be feared but the connection will be inoperative. Finally, initially, cables with the Cable Power logo will be marketed with an external power supply via USB-B or USB-C for use on sources without Cable Power certification.
