CES 22> LG S95Q: 9.1.5 soundbar, Dolby Atmos / DTS: X, 810 W, Wi-Fi and HDMI 2.1

As usual, LG communicates a few days before the opening of the CES show in Las Vegas on its new range of sound bars. For the 2022 edition of the American show which will be held from January 5 to 8, the Korean manufacturer will present the LG S95Q, a 9.1.5 sound bar, of course compatible Dolby Atmos / DTS: X.

9.1.5 audio system, the LG S95Q comes in the form of a classic soundbar design accompanied by a wireless subwoofer. The big evolution offered by the LG S95Q resides in an additional central Up-Firing speaker, for a total of three on the sound bar, to which we must add two other suitable speakers on the surrounds.

LG S95Q, first specs

Little is still known about the S95Q soundbar. However, LG announces Dolby Atmos / DTS: X compatibility, Class D amplification delivering a total power of 810 W, Imax Enhanced certification, 135 ° sound distribution for the surround speakers, a more stable wireless connection for magnified audio quality, without forgetting the exclusive Meridian Horizon technology capable of converting a stereo signal up to 7.1.

AI Sound Pro function, voice assistants and connectivity

The AI Sound Pro function directly from the brand's televisions is present. This means that the adjustments made in real time by the TV according to the nature of the signal are transmitted to the sound bar for an even better sound reproduction. Likewise, an AI calibration of the room is in the program to perfectly adapt the sound to the acoustics of the room.

We can still report support for the main music streaming platforms plus voice control with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Also noteworthy is the possibility of connecting an optional Wowcast Wi-Fi module for wireless association to a compatible television.

Connectivity

The HDMI 2.1 connector of the LG S95Q manages the VRR and ALLM functions. On the other hand, 4K / 120 compatibility is not required. And if no details were given by the brand, the LGS 95Q should ensure the management of HDR10 and HDR Dolby Vision. More details in a few weeks…
