Sony SRS-NS7: wireless neck speaker, Dolby Atmos solo

Sony presents its latest neck speaker to enjoy virtualized Dolby Atmos or 360 Reality Audio sound, without disturbing those around you.

The Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speaker guides sound directly to your ears, while remaining quiet for those around you. It has the particularity of being the first of its kind compatible with Dolby Atmos processing, as long as it is connected to a Sony Bravia XR television (TV update required, availability is expected by January 2022) via the Bluetooth transmitter supplied (see second photo below).

Sound optimization according to your ear pin

It also allows you to listen to your music in the proprietary Sony 360 Reality Audio format, if used with a smartphone and compatible music services like Deezer, nugs.net and Tidal. Note, the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer application allows you to take pictures of your ears using the smartphone camera in order to analyze your hearing characteristics and thus optimize audio reproduction.

Autonomy and IPX4 certification

With up to 12 hours of battery life, the speaker also has fast charging: 10 minutes via USB type-C for 60 minutes of additional use. Finally, we can mention an optimal positioning of the microphone (suitable for teleworking), the multipoint connection to connect two devices at the same time, and the IPX4 certification, ie splash resistance.

The Sony SRS-NS7 neck speaker will be available in November 2021 at a target price of 299 euros.
