Hugh Laurie runs into a snag in Dig (from the creators of Parks & Recreation)

Michael Schur and Amy Poehler are back with a new series. In Dig, unsurprisingly a comedy, it will focus on archaeologists who are going to come across a secret.

We always need new comedies. Especially when the names Michael Schur and Amy Poehler are associated with them. The first, best known for creating The Good Place, also created Parks & Recreation, a series in which the latter played the lead role. The duo behind Dig therefore know each other, while many faces in the trailer for the Peacock series should bring back memories for fans of the genre (we’ll leave the surprise to you).

House of Recreation

In Dig, the story will follow archaeologists and students who spend their summer on an excavation site in Greece. But when they discover a rare artifact, everything will change. It is an adaptation of Kate Myers’s novel Excavations. Alongside Amy Poehler, Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas and Fina Strazza will also be in front of the camera.

The bad news is that for now, Dig’s release seems to be planned only on the American platform Peacock starting November 23. We’ll keep you updated, of course.
