Apple Intelligence and Siri: patience in France
As a reminder, the new Siri AI assistant promised by this update is not yet available in France, due to European legislation. In addition, you must have at least an iPhone 15 Pro to benefit from Apple Intelligence features. With that in mind, the system still brings its share of concrete new features for everyday use. iOS27: Interface, performance and audio section The operating system refines the user experience and the ecosystem with several expected adjustments:• Improved performance: smoother animations, faster app launches, and AirDrop transfers that are faster too. The improvement is particularly noticeable when capturing images, opening the keyboard, or moving from one Home screen to another
• “Siri” mode in the Camera app. The AI analyzes your images to give you information: identifying a plant, an animal, a place, and more, for example listing the nutritional elements of a photographed dish, or calculating how a restaurant bill should be split among guests
• Adjustment of the Liquid Glass interface, to set the opacity of buttons and other menu elements
• AirPods equalizer: settings for the mid, high, and low frequencies of AirPods headphones (compatible models: AirPods 4, AirPods 5, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Max 2) • Possibility to set a different volume for ringtones, alarms and alerts
• Save an image from a video as a photo, rather than capturing the paused screen
• The clipboard shows a clear preview of the photo copied to memory
• Rating photos with stars with the aim of organizing/classifying them
• Messages will automatically try to resend messages that failed to go through
• Expanded cropping of a photo by increasing the background around the subject via AI
• Changing the perspective of a photo via AI
• Remove unwanted objects from a photo (more effective than before)
• Possibility to edit photos in Image Playground (which previously could only generate images)
