Local screenings also took place simultaneously in Manchester, at the Odeon Trafford Centre, and in Dublin, at Cineworld, with many fans and VIP guests. Enough to raise the pressure as the broadcast approaches of the documentary devoted to the complicated journey of the two brothers, reunited once again for their triumphant Oasis Live ’25 tour.
After a tempting teaser and a few “all smiles” black-and-white images last year, here are the shots dated from last night on the red carpet.
Shut Up and Play Oasis
Shot in Imax for a theatrical release before landing on Disney+ by the end of the year, the film will offer unprecedented access to behind the scenes, rehearsals, backstage, and of course the stage. As a bonus, the duo of directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace also made the excellent documentary about the end (not definitive, we would learn a few years later) of the band LCD Soundsystem (Shut Up and Play the Hits), as well as the immersive journey through the New York music scene of the early 2000s, Meet in the Bathroom.
This documentary will also feature the very first joint interview of Noel and Liam Gallagher in more than 25 years! In short, an event.
Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger will be available in Imax on September 9, then in cinemas on September 11, before arriving soon on Disney+.
