Riz Ahmed wants to become James Bond

It's difficult to keep up with all the new series news, as a massive number are released every month. Proof of this is the latest project from the very likeable and talented Riz Ahmed (The Night Of), which has flown under the radar, even though it's being released today. It's a short, six-episode series called Cut! (or Bait, in the original version). Riz Ahmed is a very Bond-like actor. Showrun by Ahmed and Ben Karlin, this comedy, co-directed by Bassam Tariq and Tom George, follows Shah Latif (Ahmed), a struggling actor who gets one last chance to shine with the audition of his life. For four days, his life will be turned upside down, and his family, his ex-girlfriend, and the whole world will wonder: is he right for this role? The rest of the cast includes Guz Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Sajid Hasan, Aasiya Shah, Weruche Opia, and Ritu Arya. All 6 episodes of Cut! are available today, March 25, 2026, on Prime Video.
