The first estimates of the price at which the new Xbox console will be sold are out, and they're already a blow to the wallet.
Microsoft recently officially announced its new console, codenamed Project Helix, described as a "performance leader that will run your Xbox and PC games." Xbox Helix: if it's a gaming PC, its price will be that of a gaming PC… A hybrid console, then. Or perhaps a PC disguised with an Xbox interface, like the ROG Xbox Ally. And if it is a PC, well, its price will be close to that of a PC. At least, that's the estimate from the YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, which is often on top of rumors about next-generation consoles. According to this source, Project Helix should cost between $999 and $1,200, or roughly between €800 and €1,000. Considering the Xbox Series X cost €500 at launch, wallets are already starting to tremble. To console us, Moore's Law Is Dead is convinced the machine should be significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 6.
