TCL Mini LED RGB TV, 7 references in 2026

At the IFA show in Berlin, for once, the manufacturer TCL remained extremely discreet when it came to televisions, particularly regarding the new Mini LED RGB technology, while on the one hand the brand has regularly exhibited its suitable prototypes at international events since 2018, on the other hand numerous stands demonstrated and exhibited their new products in this area. We now know that the brand was saving its best cartridges for a Chinese event that took place two days ago, with the presentation of new TV series, two of Mini LED RGB obedience and one called SQD Mini LED (Super Quantum Dots Mini LED). Focus on the first two before returning to the third later.

Named Q10M and Q9M, the two [abc]RGB[/abc] Mini [abc]LED[/abc] series from TCL will, as usual, be renamed differently in Europe. The first includes three models: 85", 98" and 115 inches. The second four: 65", 75", 85" and 98 inches. In terms of specifications, the most upscale Q10M introduces several technological innovations: announced peak brightness of 9,000 nits for more than 16,000 zones, Color Volume at 91.3%, 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, 120-bit color control (probably 30 bits per color + 10 bits for the panel, for each color), new WHVA Pro panel and sound system by Bang & Olufsen.

TCL Q10M RGB Mini LED TV, list of technological innovations££££ For its Q10M RGB Mini LED TVs, the Chinese firm has announced several new backlight technologies grouped under the heading "All-zone RGB color control". These concern the LEDs, the lenses and especially the development control algorithms specific to the use of RGB LED triplets (with independent management of each of them), in order to avoid the phenomenon of color fringing, drifts and chromatic imbalances, without forgetting Banding.

TCL thus indicates that it uses microscopic COB LEDs (chip on board), the exclusive Super-Condensing Micro-Lens (34 patents) and a brand new element called Shadowless Light Tower. The latter is none other than the support that separates the LED layer from the diffuser, whose optical design is signed TCL and which has the triple function of improving light control, masking non-luminous components inside the cavity and equalizing height differences.

TCL Mini LED RGB TV, new WHVA Pro LCD panel££££ In terms of the panel, the Q10M Ultra series is equipped with the latest generation HVA from CSOT, called WHVA Pro. On the menu, even wider viewing angles, a native contrast ratio of 7,000:1 and the absence of a black matrix for an edge-to-edge effect (like the TCL C8K/C9K series 2025 vintage). Finally, TCL has added a feature to its mini RGB LED TVs, the Fine Pure High Color filter. According to TCL, this is an exclusive material "containing special coloring molecules responsible for purifying the light spectrum" in order to "separate the three primary colors (red, green and blue) extremely clearly, thus filtering the colors more completely."

TCL Q9M Mini RGB LED TV, main specifications££££ For its part, the TCL Q9M series is based on more or less the same technical characteristics, degraded of course, as is required by the hierarchy of the range. The number of zones is lower with a total of 2,880 on the largest diagonal, the light peak peaks at 2,000 nits and the color volume is given as 87%.

Available soon in China, the TCL Q10M/Q9M TCV series should arrive in Europe in 2026, under a different name, after having been the stars of the brand's stand at the CES show in Las Vegas next January. Prices are still unknown (those announced in China have nothing to do with those expected in Europe).
