As for the Hisense 116UX, the peak brightness of the Hisense 100UX is announced at 8,000 nits. However, we do not know at the time of writing the number of zones of the backlighting system. In terms of colorimetry, efficiency is on the rise and the announced performances command respect with 95% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut.
Similarly, Color Volume is progressing via encoding of each of the three colors on 26 bits. The ability to manage zones by group and control their brightness, concurrently with managing the light intensity of each zone, allows for extremely fine brightness management. This process makes it possible to independently generate the brightness of the colors and eliminate the blooming phenomenon while maintaining precise control of each pixel.
One of the other advantages of a Mini LED RGB backlighting system concerns the reduction of the emission of blue light harmful to the eyes. Its percentage here shows 38% of the emitted light compared to 70.5% on a conventional Mini LED TV. And since only the diodes needed to display an image are activated, energy consumption is also reduced by 30%.
