While Nintendo's Switch consoles are jewels of inventiveness in use, the same cannot be said of their design: sober and functional without leaving room for audacity.
Nntendo Switch 2 Isekai Deck_01 console by Braz de Pina££££
So much the better in some ways since such a machine is made above all to last and function, and not to provoke ecstasy as soon as someone discovers its silhouette. For the "wow" side, it is towards independent designers that we must turn, for example Braz de Pina who had already given us his vision of a rubber iPhone that therefore does not need a case. His latest creation is called Isekai Deck_01, and we could simply describe it as a Nintendo Switch from a parallel universe. It looks more or less like the model we know, but is distinguished by cylindrical side controllers - the JoyCon. Perhaps more ergonomic for some uses, perhaps less so for others, but at least the format is eye-catching and gives the whole thing character.
Also note the ability to rotate the screen around the axis on which the controllers are attached, to adjust the viewing angle when using the console in portable mode. Clever.
