iPhone 16 Pro, the war of buttons

New “leaked” technical diagrams confirm the rumors and already allow us to know what the next iPhone 16 Pro will look like.

The 91mobiles site got its hands on technical diagrams of the future iPhone 16 Pro, confirming and refining the rumors that have already been circulating for a while about Apple's next smartphones. For reference, the site had already provided such diagrams proven a posteriori, for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro, new Capture button££££

We can see in these illustrations that the iPhone 16 Pro looks a lot like the iPhone 15 Pro, with the exception of the Action button which is a little longer. We also notice the new “Capture” button on the left side below the power button, which would serve as a shortcut to quickly capture photos and videos. Note that this is not a physical button, but a tactile surface, of the type that was once anticipated for the volume buttons of the iPhone 15, but which was ultimately canceled.

Nice improvements for the iPhone 16 Pro ££££

The screens of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will normally be larger, measuring 6.3'' (16 cm) and 6.9' respectively ' (17.5 cm) diagonal, compared to 6.1'' and 6.7'' on the 15 series. An increase in diagonal which should notably leave the space necessary for the integration of the tetraprism telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro, only introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. In this diagram, the iPhone 16 Pro gains thickness in all three dimensions, height, width and depth.
