Thriller is 40 years old! An anniversary celebrated by Paramount with an exceptional doc

We no longer present Michael Jackson's sixth studio album, co-produced by Quincy Jones: Thriller. Released on November 30, 1982 by Epic Records (his second for that label), it quickly became the best-selling album in the world with 32 million copies sold in a single year. Paramount+ is celebrating this anniversary with a new doc!

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Michael Jackson's legendary Thriller, Paramount+ announces that the documentary Thriller 40 will be available in France on Sunday, December 3.

Big casting for the doc on Thriller, the King of Pop's album

Directed by music journalist Nelson George, it will look back on the creation of the record-breaking album as well as the release of the associated short films that forever redefined the music video. Using never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews, Thriller 40 traces the story of the album that propelled Michael Jackson to the top and continues to influence global music culture to this day.

To discuss the legendary album of the King of Pop, the director notably met Usher, Mary J. Blige, Will.I.Am, Mark Ronson, Misty Copeland, Maxwell and even the director John Landis.
