The crazy zombie movie Don't Cut! available on Prime Video

Don't Cut!, the Japanese horror-comedy that inspired Michel Hazanavicius' zombie flick that opened at Cannes in 2022 (Cut! with Romaon Duris), has just arrived on Prime Video.

In a squalid factory, a crew shoots a visibly broke zombie movie. Despite the clear lack of originality of the work in progress, the overexcited director Higurashi (Takayuki Hamatsu) harasses his little troop for more realism. But, there will be a little too much realism when actors and technicians are suddenly attacked by authentic undead…

Don't cut! and its incredible visual audacity

Released in theaters in 2019 but remained quite confidential, Do not cut! is signed by iconoclastic director Shinichiro Ueda. It's a horror-comedy enriched with some pretty incredible visual audacity.

A hairy finale

Enthusiastic, energetic and frankly hairy during its finale, the film also offers a real tribute to the laborious broke of the 7th art. At the time of its release, Mad Movies magazine aptly described Don't Cut! as "the finest declaration of love for cinematic craftsmanship since Tim Burton's Ed Wood".
