iPhone SE 4 in 2024, little brother of the iPhone XR?

For its fourth version, the iPhone SE could abandon the appearance of its predecessors.

According to the often well-informed analyst Ross Young of the DSCC firm, the fourth generation of entry-level iPhone - the iPhone SE - will change its design considerably compared to its predecessors. A guess that corroborates a previous rumor raised by leaker Jon Prosser.

iPhone SE 4th-generation close to iPhone XR design?

While the last two iPhone SEs featured a design borrowed from the iPhone 8, the next version would instead be inspired by the iPhone XR. In fact, it would be the first time that the iPhone SE would present a screen covering almost its entire front (with a notch at the top). The screen would thus increase to a larger size - between 5.7 '' and 6.1 '' according to Young - where the current model displays 4.7 inches. Growth may be problematic for those who were attached to a smaller device. This model would sign at the same time the end of the Home button, still present on the latest iPhone SE.

However, Face ID facial recognition unlocking might not be integrated, in favor of a Touch ID button on the edge of the device, like that of the iPad Air and iPad Mini. Expected release early 2024 Source: macrumors
