Panasonic LX800 4K Ultra HD LED TV, 43'', 50'', 55'', 65'' and 75'' and Android TV on the menu

Continued from our presentation of the Japanese manufacturer's 2022 TV range. After the Panasonic LZ2000, Panasonic LZ1500, Panasonic LZ1000 and Panasonic LZ980 Oled TV series, and the Panasonic LX940 LCD series, it's time for the Panasonic LX800.

The Panasonic LX800 has five flat Ultra HD 4K LED references, the Panasonic TX-40LX800 (40'', 102 cm), Panasonic TX-50LX800 (50'', 127 cm), Panasonic TX-55LX800 (55'', 140cm), Panasonic TX-65LX800 (65'', 165cm) and Panasonic TX-75LX800 (75'', 191cm).

Panasonic LX800 TV specifics

Panasonic LX800 televisions, in addition to an 8-bit 50 Hz LCD panel of the HDR Bright Panel Plus type (VA technology), are built using a Direct LED Global Dimming backlighting system. For the rest, we can mention the HDR Cinema Display functionality for 55''/65''/75'' screens, an extended color space, the HCX processor, HDR Dolby Vision content management, adaptive HDR10+, HDR10 and HDR HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma).

As a reminder, HDR10+ Adaptive technology is an improved version of the HDR10+ format for the best possible image regardless of ambient light conditions, dark rooms or with strong light sources. And even with changing light conditions, for example if the TV is located near a window. HDR10+ Adaptive mode uses data from the TV's light sensor to adapt the image to the environment.

Otherwise, we notice a DVB-T2, DVB-C and DVB-S2 tuner and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility (possibility of transmitting sound simultaneously to two compatible devices, for example two headphones). Finally, the audio section delivers 20 W (2 x 10 W).

Smart Android TV, Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in

One of the biggest changes offered by the Panasonic LX800 TV series compared to the LX940 and Oled TV series is the Smart Android TV function instead of My Home Screen. The Chromecast and Google Assistant features are therefore required.

Finally, the connection has three HDMI 2.0b inputs including one with ARC management, a Composite, an optical output, two USB Host with DVR (digital recorder) function, an Ethernet port and a CI+ port. Note, HDCP 2.3 certification is required, same for the ALLM function.

Availability announced for the month of September. Indicative prices still unknown.
