Apple Watch: a screenless model coming soon?

Compared to previous models, the new Apple Watches for the fall season shouldn't present any surprises in their appearance. However, Apple is reportedly preparing to drastically change the design of its smartwatches in the coming years.
In the realm of health and fitness wearables, competitors like Garmin and Fitbit have already launched screenless bracelets that are cheaper and less distracting than a traditional smartwatch. This might give Apple some ideas for the future of its own line. Apple Watch: Circular screens or none at all? Indeed, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the creator of the Apple Watch has been working for a year on redesigning its product line. In the most extreme scenario, this could include a screenless version, or at least a design different from the models currently offered. Apple Watches with circular screens are being considered, whereas they have always been rectangular until now. Apple Watch: Expanding the price range? We learn that alongside this aesthetic research, Apple wants to expand the product range. The aim would be to offer models less expensive than the current Apple Watch SE (sold for €269) and more premium versions than the luxurious Hermès models (starting at €1,399, pictured above).
